How to Keep Your Texmpire Towels Soft and Long-Lasting

There’s nothing quite like wrapping yourself in a soft, fluffy towel after a shower or bath. Towels are one of those everyday luxuries we often take for granted, but with the right care, they can stay plush, absorbent, and in top condition for years to come.

Here’s everything you need to know to extend the life of your Texmpire towels.

1. Wash Before First Use

Turkish towels will get softer and more absorbent with time. If you want to speed up the process, you can soak your new towel in cold water and hang dry it before first use.

2. Wash Towels Separately

To maintain the integrity of your towels, it’s best to wash them on their own or with other towels. Mixing them with clothing, especially items with zippers or hooks, can cause snagging and fraying. Additionally, towels need plenty of water and space to circulate freely in the wash to ensure they’re thoroughly cleaned and rinsed.

3. Use the Right Amount of Detergent

Using too much detergent can cause buildup on towels, which makes them stiff and less absorbent. To avoid this, always use the recommended amount of detergent based on your washing machine’s load size and the soil level of the towels. If you notice your towels feeling stiff or not drying as well, it might be a sign of detergent residue. In that case, a vinegar rinse can help remove buildup.

4. Opt for Warm Water

Towels should generally be washed in warm water, as it’s effective at removing oils, dirt, and bacteria without causing excessive wear on the fibers. Hot water can cause towels to fade and weaken over time, while cold water may not be as effective at deep cleaning. Warm water strikes the right balance for cleanliness and longevity.

5. Dry with Care

While the dryer can give towels that soft, fluffy feel, over-drying them can damage the fibers. Set your dryer to a medium heat or tumble dry setting to avoid overheating. If possible, it’s even better to air-dry your towels periodically, which is gentler on the fabric and helps maintain their shape. If you do use a dryer, throw in some wool dryer balls to help fluff the towels and reduce drying time.

6. Don’t Overload the Washer or Dryer

Overloading your washing machine or dryer can prevent towels from being thoroughly cleaned or dried. When packed too tightly, towels don’t have enough room to move around, which leads to less effective cleaning and can trap detergent residue. Similarly, in the dryer, overcrowding prevents even airflow, which can cause towels to remain damp or overheat in some spots, leading to wear and tear. For best results, wash and dry towels in smaller loads to maintain their fluffiness and longevity.
